Easter Sunday - Albenga to Savona

It's Easter Sunday... after a day of coastal rolling riding. Today started early when the celebratory church bells began to ring on the hour at 3 am. So beautiful. It was cold outside the tent at the campground in Albenga, but after we packed up and waited to get our passports back, we found a seaside coffee shack for a couple rounds of espresso and got on our way.

Even with the chilly air, There were so many people out enjoying the holiday and the day-long (vs. just afternoon) Italian passeggiata, whether through city or on the seaside path.

Odd to us that Savona, our place to stop for the night was so quiet compared to all the other towns we passed through-- and it the largest of the day, perhaps. We squirreled around a fair bit  during our search for a McDonald's (free wifi) so we could connect with the Airbnb person and were fortunate to also find a dead quiet (but huge!) above-carpark supermarket for our dinner things. We'd thought we were going to be out of luck!
Then sound of the sea over the rooftops of the flat we're in (shared with the resident who stayed in her room all evening... Kinda strange, but oh well...) is strong. There are also sounds from the surrounding apartments across the courtyard-- one throat-scourging spitter too! Still gotta love it---all of it.
