Ulm Münster 6 Mai

After messing with all our wet gear and enjoying a beer with a few older locals at the Kanue club bar (though they didn't appear to be paddlers), we went across the river to see some of the oldtown of Ulm, specifically the Münster, which is famous for having the tallest church tower in the world, at 161 meters, with 768 inviting steps. 70 some km already, a few with the resistance of powerful water, we were still game to climb high.




































Inside was dark and cool and very very high-ceilinged. Very quiet too, with few tourists. The choir stalls were fascinating, with scores of wooden busts/carvings at junctures and at each seat.






After, as we walked about the cool old town looking for a grocery store:
